What is an ATC

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art created in order to trade with other artists. They are 2.5" x 3.5" (or 63mm x 89mm - the size of the original collectible baseball cards)

Various methods and techniques can be used to create the cards, including pencils, pens, markers, watercolor, acrylic paints, collage, papercuts, found objects, metals and fabric.

On this site we're going to be focusing on methods of using fabric and textiles to create ATCs, which will include everything from quilting to embroidery and much more!

If you think creating a small piece of art might be something you'd enjoy feel free to join in on the latest swap at any time. Beginners and Newbies welcome!! Browse the site and read our tips, then start creating. It is a great way to learn a new technique on a small and quick project of your choice.

At the start of each swap we'll talk about a theme or technique and I'll provide methods and an example of what you could do. You're welcome to be as creative as you wish, and when you're assigned your partner, to use their likes and dislikes to influence your creation if you choose.

Each ATC I create will be added to the gallery, so grab some inspiration.
